Turn Your Wounds Into Strength
Faith and hope don’t always come when you start to feel fear. Sometimes, it shows up when you’re on your knees and your hands are trembling. It shows up when you can’t get enough air in your lungs. It shows up when you’re on the stormy seas of life. It shows up when you’re empty. It shows up when the wounds are unable to heal and stop bleeding. It shows up when the pain is unbearable. There is shelter through it all. That is when faith and hope will come. Do not stop believing that it won’t appear.
I thought waking up one day, I would be okay. My grief, trauma, and sadness will simply melt away. People say you have to heal in order to get through the trauma, but what do you do when healing is as painful as the grief? Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts when it comes to healing (I’ve tried looking). We fight through the silence. We fight through the darkness. We tend to our bleeding wounds and broken souls. Dont stop trying to heal even if the world grows dark. The hurt ones sometimes turn out to be healers in the end.
We are not strangers to darkness. We are not strangers to suffering. We are not strangers to the beauty of the world. We are also not strangers to the light that surrounds us. Unfortunately, we have to experience both versions of that world. Finding the strength and courage to keep our hearts beating through it all. Not all versions of our lives will result in suffering. We grow through storms. We will endure and conquer through both versions of life.
