Turn Your Wounds Into Strength
When we see that our protective armor is cracked or broken, we tend to hate when people try to patch you like you’re running a Nascar race in the pits. Don’t do it to others. You can’t fix anyone. It’s not something humanly possible. Instead, let them see that light can still shine through the cracks. Let them see the light. Remind them how valued they are, how much they are loved, and how much they are needed. Remind them what it feels like to be in the sun, the warmth the radiates on their skin. Sit with them. Talk to them. Remind them that they are not alone. Let them know who and what they are is accepted and cherished. Sometimes, we just need reminders.
We may never know the answers to why things happen. The moments that dragged us down. I can’t give you the answers you seek either, but what I can tell you is that those moments built you. The pain you felt, the tears you cried into oceans, all of it built you. You put yourself back together, piece by piece. Each broken piece, finding a new purpose. You became stronger. You are finding who you are. That is your purpose. Rising again each day and conquering what lies ahead with peace and strength in your heart.
We are human, but what does that truly mean. We make mistakes, and we are imperfect. We look for our worth in another’s eyes, and we go off of what is put forth. We look for their answers, not our own. We are filled with madness. We are simply just messy when it comes to life. We color outside the lines. Our uniqueness makes us imperfect to others but perfect to ourselves. You can be strong but still have an empathetic heart. It’s okay to be human, to be you.
